ECCE and NCS discounts:
The government have offered ECCE and NCS discounts to children. We ask parents to familiarise themselves with the rules of these schemes. Some of the rules include:
1 If a child under-attends for 4 consecutive weeks, funding is altered and in some cases cut. The Department have very strong rules about this. It is not a rule from the creche.
2 There must be one months’ notice given for any changes to the NCS or ECCE schemes.
3 With NCS your discount is not based on the number of hours awarded, but on the number of hours being used. Therefore the longer a child is in each day, the higher the discount. (we agree that this is not family friendly).
4 Your ECCE is calculated over 10 months, therefore fees will go up in the summer. However we will add NCS hours to help mitigate against any fee increase.
5 Your NCS application is not complete until you have confirmed the NCS application on the HIVE. Please do this as quickly as possible as otherwise we cannot apply your discount.
6 With NCS, your CHICK number runs our team have to chase for new ones. We then go through the process again of applying, inputting and chasing confirmations. We totally agree it’s a tricky and frustrating process. We didn’t choose it at all, but we are trying to get you your discount from fees. We hope you understand.
