Learning about the body
This week at Little Stars on the Lane Seagreen our youngest group were learning about the human body. We had so much fun drawing ourselves, learning about what our legs, arms, ears, faces and tummies do and how best to keep our fantastic bodies working well.
We are all getting the summer feeling this week and the children are loving being outside in the sun 🌞 We had lots of fun learning about transport and road safety. One of our little ones has started his own yoga class 🧘♂️ . Everybody loved joining in! We made our own version of Greystones and put in all the things we love about our town 💕
Playing in the park
We love to get out in the fresh air at Little Stars on the Lane, Its so nice to go the park and enjoy nature
Experimenting and making Carrots
We had great fun last week making carrots with forks and doing fun and interactive science experiments

Saint Patricks Day
Hey everyone, here are some pictures from the last 2 weeks! we had world book day and pancake Tuesday last week! we made some pancakes and did a pancake day sensory table 🥞
We also learnt all about st patrick’s day and did lots of fun art, baking and sensory tables☘️

Learning about the body
This week we learned about our bodies at Little Stars. Our little ones loved learning everything about how our bodies breathe, digest and operate. So much fun creating our organs as art activities and then learning what each thing does!
Valentines Day
This week we had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day 💕 We started by creating hearts, which we did on the glass to see the reflection of the colours 🩵💛❤️ We also painted and glued hearts to create a Valentine's headbans. In addition, in our sensory activity we played with jelly and rice, it was great fun! 🍚 On the other hand, it has been a week full of birthdays, we have celebrated three of them!🎂🎈🥳 Congratulations to all of them, they are already 4 years old! 4⃣!!❤️❤️
Seagreen Sensory Play
We loved our sensory play in Little Stars Seagreen. We are getting ready for Christmas and our visit from someone special later this week!
Tigers Giraffes and fine motor skills
We had great fun last week boosting our fine motor skills learning about Tigers and Giraffes. We also looked at some of the world’s tallest buildings and built our own!
Hibernation
Last week we have been learning about hibernation 🐻 We have immersed ourselves in creating caves where our animals hibernate, we also made hedgehoges with playdough and sticks.🦔 We also went on a bear hunt in the Sensory Room, it was great fun! Finally, our sensory activity where we were able to find animals that hibernate in their habitat. Last week we have learned a lot and we have played, our imagination helped us to create a tunnel with the chairs, it was super fun! 🤭
Learning about shapes
Last week, we had lots of fun learning all about the geometrical shapes such as: circle, square, rectangular, and triangle 🔺️ 😀. For arts and crafts, we had drawn shapes using the geometrical inserts from our Montessori material, painted using the wooden blocks of different shapes and colours. For our sensory play, we had a competition through which we had to match the different shaped wooden blocks to their matching drawn shapes on a big poster, and then we coloured them.
Also, of course, we enjoyed our garden time, disco dancing, games, and playing with our friends 🧡.
Haloween
Halloween is such a fun and special time of year for our little ones at Little Stars on the Lane. We get to really use our imagination and have so much fun. We always include development activities in our fun like working on our gross and fine motor skills, or developing creativity. It’s on days like today there is nowhere else we’d rather be.
Learning about Fire
More fun this week, we supported Sofia by celebrating Spanish day (12/10) we made spanish fans.
We started our fire extinguishers, made fire trucks and fire pictures. We spoke about fire alarms and the 3 rules 😉 what to do if our clothes catch fire (stop, drop, roll) we learnt a fireman song also. Next week we will continue with our fire safety and halloween crafts and hopefully we will have a special visitor on friday morning.
Reminder: Global garden will close on friday for our halloween break and return Mon 4th of November, We will have our halloween fancy dress party on fri 25th of October.
Feelings and Emotions
Hi all,we hope you are all good, as you can see we had so much fun last week learning all about our feelings and emotions and painting and drawing how we were feeling, we also had fun in the garden and with jigsaws and magnets, we were also learning about taking turns, photos to follow, we also helped celebrate one of our friends birthdays this week

Hedgehogs and Leaf painting
Last week's activities, we had lots of fun finishing up our Autumn theme. We enjoyed gluing the leaves we collected, some lovely leaf painting and making some hedgehogs with playdough. The children were given the materials and one little hedgehog was made they had to make their own and the all did super. We have been reading The Little Acorn book so we made acorns with our hand prints.We also started some scissor exercise with some to assess their hand/finger position, concentration and control, we will continue to work on this regularly. Lots of garden play enjoyed also this week. 😊
Next week we will start our fire safety theme and Halloween.

More Autumn Theme Play
Hi all, we had a big week of birthdays, we celebrated Darragh, Finn, Noah and Fionn 🥳 we continued the Autumn theme with Apple handprints, Autumn play dough and an Autumn sensory table. We hope you all have a lovely weekend 😊
