Christmas magic

Last week was full of Christmas magic, creativity, and excitement! Here’s a little recap of everything we enjoyed together:

🎅 On Monday, we explored our Christmas sensory table and played with festive playdough.

🎁 On Tuesday, Santa came to the crèche with presents! The children were delighted and full of wonder. We also enjoyed reading the Christmas stories that Santa kindly gifted!

🎨 On Wednesday, the children created their own Christmas trees using green paint and forks as brushes. They loved the different texture and the “pine tree” effect it made!

🎶 On Thursday, we sang a mix of Christmas songs for mum and dad, we even learned a song in Irish! After that, we all cooked together and made a wonderful Nutella filled Christmas tree pastry. It smelled (and tasted🤭) amazing!

🦌 On Friday, we mixed magical ingredients to make reindeer food so they can recharge their energy on Christmas Eve. The children were very excited to prepare something special for Santa’s helpers!

It’s been a joyful and festive week full of smiles and Christmas spirit. 🎄🎄🎅🎅

Pilates with Louise

Our Pilates class in Little stars on the land is a firm favourite with our children. Our amazing Pilates teacher, Louise brings the children through a curriculum of mindfulnsss and movement. We definitely see self regulation skills developing in the children and a sense of self. And it’s so much fun!

Halloween fun 👻

Hi mommy’s and daddy’s, we have had loads of Halloween fun 👻 We had halloween themed sensory play using spaghetti, water and Oobleck. We made play dough spiders🕷️ Our arts and crafts were witches faces, ghosts, bats and claws. We learned a new spooky Halloween song and have read Halloween books 📚

Next Friday (24th) we will have a Halloween costume party for the end of Ecce 🎃.

Making Pizzas

Last week we had a great day. We enjoyed making pizzas with our little ones. We each took turns to decorate our pizza, which helped develop our fine motor skills, spark our creativity and by working together, we enjoyed progressing our social skills- all whilst having so much fun!

Learning about Autumn

We had lots of fun this Morning with our autumn 🍂  sensory tray. It has lead to lots of conversations about the weather changes what it means when we go into a new season. The children have also been talking about the leaves falling from the trees and different colours. They said their favourite part is the different sounds that we hear when we go walking 💕 the children had great fun learning all about Autumn and having some sensory fun 🙌🤗🥰

Music, ballet and Pilates classes

Our children have enjoyed their music, ballet and Pilates classes so much at little stars. What a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Dear families, this week we have dived under the sea to discover the animals that live underwater 🐟 We started the week by creating some special cards for our fathers, happy father's day to all!🩷 In addition, we created the “sand” for our mural, using our hands, we love to get dirty! 👐🏼We did the undersea animals with an experiment: we painted aluminum foil with markers and stamped the shape of a starfish, a dolphin and a seahorse, they were very original and we loved coloring in different textures! 🐬Finally, in our sensory activity we created foam and, together with warer and blue coloring, we played and got soaked 🤭 it was a lot of fun 💦

This week we celebrated with a big party the birthday of our friend Felix, he is now 4 years old! Happy birthday to him!🥳🎂🎁❤️❤️

This week we really enjoyed taking advantage of the sunshine but also being able to enjoy playing together in the classroom when it was raining. We have colored a lot, read books and enjoyed role playing, there are lots of "kittens" in the classroom 🐱🤭

Learning about the body

This week at Little Stars on the Lane Seagreen our youngest group were learning about the human body. We had so much fun drawing ourselves, learning about what our legs, arms, ears, faces and tummies do and how best to keep our fantastic bodies working well.

We are all getting the summer feeling this week and the children are loving being outside in the sun 🌞 We had lots of fun learning about transport and road safety. One of our little ones has started his own yoga class 🧘‍♂️ . Everybody loved joining in! We made our own version of Greystones and put in all the things we love about our town 💕

Learning about the body

This week we learned about our bodies at Little Stars. Our little ones loved learning everything about how our bodies breathe, digest and operate. So much fun creating our organs as art activities and then learning what each thing does!
